Student Transition Navigators will:
- Staff the front desk during business hours (8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.) in Mary Gates Hall 120 or in HUB 141 (10:00 a.m.-5 p.m.)
- Summer: Monday-Thursday 7:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Friday 8:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
- Provide a friendly and professional experience to any customer as they interact with our office
- Respond to inquiries about the UW from students and their families by phone, email, and text
- Be a mentor via the Husky Peer Mentorship Program to 15-20 mentees
- Provide Zoom support during Advising and Orientation including Family Orientation and be willing to host “Ask me Anything” sessions with new students
- Support and create engaging events in the Commuter and Transfer Commons to promote sense of belonging
- Participate in Dawg Daze logistics by supporting incoming students and campus partners throughout the summer and during welcome week.
- Establish an understanding of and assist customers with issues relating to NSTP programs, services, policies, and procedure
- Work collaboratively with other Student Transition Navigators and NSTP staff on detail oriented projects relating to several different programs
- Become familiar with program registration processes and answer questions as needed
- Assist in the coordination of the day-to-day operations of the NSTP office and CTC and help maintain organized, and clean spaces
