Overview
New Student & Transfer Programs is seeking a group of three (3) organized, self-motivated, and creative students who are passionate about the FIG program and curriculum development. The FIG Training Student Coordinators will providing constructive feedback on FIG Leaders’ modules during the spring GEN ST 270/470 course.
The FIG Training Student Coordinator position is limited to students who have previously been a FIG Leader.
Hourly wage: $21.30 (effective January 1, 2026)

Summary of work
The 2026 FIG Training Student Coordinators will:
- 70%: Support the training of FIG Leaders through weekly written constructive feedback of modules that they develop during the spring GEN ST 270/470 class.
- 30%:
- Track the progress of individual FIG Leaders and keep GEN ST 470 instructors updated on their progress.
- Identify weekly themes of highlights or concerns from modules submitted.
- Manage time efficiently each week to make sure feedback deadlines are met.
Required qualifications
- Full-time, degree-seeking, undergraduate student at the University of Washington in Seattle.
- Enrolled in at least 12 credits in spring quarter (spring quarter graduates are eligible to apply).
- Good academic standing and conduct before and during your time in this role.
- Must be available to work:
- Monday hours:
- Minimum 3 hours during business hours of 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. to work with FIG-program teaching staff on content review
- Available between 8:00–10:00 a.m. for weekly hour-long meetings with FIG Training StuCo Team and FIG-program teaching staff (*Exact time TBD)
- 3–5 hours per day Tuesday–Wednesday
- FIG Leader Community Day: Friday, May 1, 2026

- Highly organized and detail oriented, flexible and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience creating detailed written communication that is accessible to different audiences.
- Desire to learn more about curriculum development and support others in that process.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently.
- Preference to be part of a team-oriented and collaborative environment, working with other New Student & Transfer Programs student leaders and professional staff.
