Submit your event:
1. Click here to log into the Dawg Daze website using your NetID (Link active when submissions are open). If you don't have a NetID, you can contact ddadmin@uw.edu to discuss sponsorship options. If you have having issues logging into WordPress with your UW NetID, please email dawgdaze@uw.edu
2. Under "Events" in the left navigation area, select "Add New Event."
New this year: If you are hosting an event on behalf of a UW Department, previous submissions from your NetID will show in ‘draft’ form when you log in to WordPress. You will not need to fully re-create your event if you host the same event(s) year to year.
3. Fill in all the required fields.
4. Verify all information is correct. When you're ready to submit, scroll to the top of the page and select "Submit for Review."
Please view the Event Submission Tutorial below for more in depth instructions and a demonstration! The deadline to submit your event is September 1!
Submitted events
We will process your submission in the order it was received. Once your event has been submitted and appears as "Pending," we will email you to confirm your event and share information about your location reservation, if applicable. We receive more than 500 event submissions every year — if you don't hear from us immediately, please be patient! If more than a week has passed since you submitted your event, please email dawgdaze@uw.edu. If your event has been approved and you need to make changes, please email us.
Event Photo
You will be asked to include a photo to be displayed alongside your event listing. This photo should be relevant to the event. Image size can not be more than 2 MB. We recommend conventional image aspect ratios such as 3:2 or 16:9.
Accessing event details from previous years
If you've submitted a Dawg Daze event in the past, you can reference previous event submissions to build out your event this year! Review previous submissions from Dawg Daze events. For UW Departments - if you are logging in with the same NetID, you should see previous events in 'Drafts'. For RSOs - unfortunately, event submissions from previous years have been archived on WordPress and must be re-submitted.
Requesting student volunteers
Dawg Daze Leaders (DDLs) are returning undergraduate student volunteers and can help with tasks such as equipment setup/takedown, crowd management and handing out materials! UW Departments can request student volunteers via the event submission form. You will be prompted to fill out additional information about shift times and expectations. Dawg Daze Leaders are not available for RSO-hosted events.
We will do our best to schedule volunteers for your event, but cannot guarantee the availability of Dawg Daze Leaders.
