We have paused the General Studies 199 course specifically for transfer students, and encourage them to take General Studies 205.
Our Transfer Course: General Studies 205 allows transfer students to experience a smaller community within a large university setting and engage in critical thinking to continue building a strong academic foundation.
Transfer students are also eligible to take a first-year FIG. These courses primarily consist of students who are entering the UW directly from high school, but all students who are new to the University of Washington are welcome.
